Another Page Process X-Ray. Plus, showing Queer. AND a new cover!
Hello,
Excuse the missing week. A much-needed break was taken on the beach in sun-soaked (and sometimes just soaked) Paphos, in Cyprus. The cosmic joke being that this coincided with a heatwave back in the UK featuring far-higher temperatures. Still, the food wasn’t bad. And a Jet2 Holiday where my darling held my hand!

The Line Art Layer.
Lettering (done first, of current necessity in another programme on a different machine, to gauge the dimensional layout of the final drawing before I commit to my initial rough (1.). So this should really also have been shown first! But then perhaps it would have made less sense to you, if it had (discuss). To be finished, fully formatted and added later: mostly it is spoken so in white speech balloons.
Ta DA! The Brand New Page assembled (crack that WiP: still a Work in Progress, with refinements great and small yet to come: and all the while awaiting the additional Lettering, which will have to be done at the very end, in Photoshop.
So there you have it.

Ignore the start date shown: that got superceded*. It actually opens on June 5th (right soon!), and will hopefully remain on display all summer long, into the Autumnus.

This little dream project of mine lives or dies by the sales we can achieve with it. So please, please, please, make a note and when the time comes lobby your local retailer to get some in stock (there WILL be reminders! No, not remainders… reminders!)
I have a LOT more planned for this series well beyond even the current WiP Book Two, but we’ll never get to that if these first books don’t prove as popular and well-received as I believe they should be. You too can play your part!

I do like seeing your process posts. It's interesting that you do the line art after you've done the tones.
As all the above, I love the process posts (hence why I've started including them over on my Substack). I'm partially colour blind, so could barely, no, could not see what was going on at all in the first image! It must be lovely to have seen that😂. And, cracking cover for the softback.
