ROMO 2, Week 12
Fighting hard to really get the word out there…
A WORD IN YOUR SHELL-LIKE…
Hello,
Double duty this week to make up for no posting last week, during Launch week for Book One. And first up, I must repeat a plea I made a couple of weeks ago…
Can You Write A Review of ROMO the WolfBoy??
When I asked this before, I was being too previous… Amazon did not yet allow any reviews to be posted on their listing of the ROMO Book One because the book was not yet on retail sale at that time, so for anyone who tried before, they found out that they couldn’t! … I’m really sorry about that.
IF you’ve read the book - whether any or all of the pages posted on here (still available in the Archive, at least for the time being*), or in a print copy you received as a backer on Kickstarter, or have even since bought for yourself in a shop (where it’s only been available on sale since Feb 19!) - then you can let the world know what you think…

I know, I know, it’s Amazon. But…
The Amazon listing for any book is the one place where the most people in the world will see it. A good showing there has the potential to make or break when it comes to sales, whether or not people then buy from there… In the culture that we now have, appearances are everything.
So I ask again…
Can You Write A Review of ROMO the WolfBoy??
Honest thoughts (it doesn’t have to be a glowing report, simply what you liked or didn’t like about it) - As long or as short as you like. It doesn’t matter if you’ve only seen it here on Substack, or not read all of it - any response you may have counts!

Scroll down to “Customer reviews”, and below that where it says in bold, “Review this product”, hit the button below which reads: “Write a customer review”
I ask you, PLEASE - so far only 2 people have done so, and EVERY REVIEW counts.
Why is this so important?
Every review the book gets helps promote sales but also helps to push the book up the algorithms and the charts - it increases visibility and notice as well as the positive vibe that this generates. (It’s also, I’ll be honest, among the only direct feedback for my efforts that I will ever get.)
I created Book One and posted it weekly as I made it on here mostly as an act of supreme and stubborn will. To date, I have only spent money on it. I haven’t made any money on it - at least not yet. (The £11,000 raised via crowdfunding paid the print bill!)
The only hopes I have of being paid for all of my hard work is if the retail sales of the printed book are healthy - if the book is seen as any sort of a sales success.
Now, that said, this ISN’T about the MONEY…
If Book One doesn’t sell as well as it possibly could, then that harms the fortunes of Book Two as well as the likelihood that I can carry on making pages of ROMO while effectively earning no income doing that. So much rides on the success of this project, more than I can ever tell you. All that I really want to do is to be allowed to make more ROMO - I LOVED making Book One. I’ll admit I’m struggling a bit on Book Two… mostly down to the pressure now to succeed. Book One MUST SELL to succeed. I need to be able to make my living from doing this without so much personal sacrifice. Shit the strings on this violin just snapped. I just want to make more ROMO, OK?!

Buying ONLINE
If it is easier for you to buy a copy online, Amazon aside, consider uk.bookshop.org - it is listed on there too, here:

Bookshop.org is an online bookshop with a mission to financially support local, independent bookshops. It serves as an ethical alternative to Amazon, allowing users to buy books directly from independent shops, which receive 30% of the cover price from sales made through their specific pages.
Enough hassling, hustling and sales talk!
